Currently resident for 2 of Bristol premier underground nights, PLAY and Just Jack. Dan has been making headway through out the residents circuit, with DJ’s like Buckley, Simon Baker and Greg Vickers all giving him props last year, now is the time for him to take his deep and dirty sound across the country. Dan was born in Leeds, and it was here that he well and truly caught the house bug. A regular at clubs such as Backtobasics, he was seduced by the deep throbbing bass-lines from Dj’s such as Ralph Lawson and Paul Woolford, and it is not surprising that he cites these two Dj’s as two of his biggest influences. At the age of 19 Dan Moved to Bristol, a very different city indeed, dominated by d&b and hip hop, it took some adjusting but it was not long before Dan was a regular on the close nit Bristol House scene. He made some good friends and the lack of quality house events spurred him on to create his own night, Just Jack was born. Dan has also recently been given a main room residency for deepgrooves debauched after-hours party ‘Play’. ‘I am really chuffed with the Play residency, I have been going there religiously for five years and playing in the back room for nearly two, and it is great to finally make the jump into that main room, anyone who has been will understand, Play is something really special!’ Dan’s style is hard to pin down but revolves around deep bumpy electro beats and bleeps, through to full on acid house and tech, always with a nod towards Chicago.
