Burnski is a young wipper snapper, born 1986 in a small industrial town in the chilly depths of north east England. Merging from a seaside town renowned for smog & fish shops, he prefers to spend his time locked away in his little studio experimenting with his sounds. His musical career began at the age of 13, skipping his Science exam one afternoon, his Dad drove him out of town to pick up a pair of second hand turntables he had found advertised in the paper. For the following years he would travel an hour each way on the bus every Saturday morning into the main town, armed with his paper round money, to feed his vinyl addiction.

When he isn't in the studio, he is either playing records, on his piano, or lighting fires. Influences in James' music stem from a very broad palette. Playing piano over the years, he carries a very large interest in all forms of composition. James is now beginning to find his way in the scene, playing & buying records since the tender age of 13. James finds himself representing a wide variation of sounds across the electronic borders, playing a little bit of everything from jazz, trip hop, disco, electro, dub, house, minimal & techno, adjusting his sound for the night in question, always armed with a bag of fresh music, healthy for any hour of the night. With regular appearances at Back to Basics in Leeds and other gigs including Watergate Berlin, the Key, The Egg, TDK festival & Sankey Soaps. James own productions are currently providing a fitting representation of quality on offer amongst the nubreed of English producers today. With his music out on Trapez, Morris Audio, Infant Records, Exquisite Music and remix work for 2020 Vision and a album in the works, Burnski is on his way, offering his own interpretation to the music scene.
